Job description Leopardo, a new restaurant by acclaimed 3 Michelin starred Chef Josh Skenes is now open. Looking for positive minded hospitality professionals at the top of their game.We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for culinary excellence, strong organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for executing food and prep to the highest standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team and Executive Chef to ensure the quality and consistency of dishes and mise en place, while also contributing to menu development and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Responsibilities include: Food Preparation: Prepare and execute dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. Ensure the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients and products in all preparations. Pay meticulous attention to detail in presentation, product quality and execution. Demonstrate expert knowledge of your station and all menu items coming off it. Cooking Techniques: Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking techniques, including sautee, grill, roast, pizza and garde. Consistently produce dishes that meet or exceed the chef's standards. Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work station. Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients to prevent cross-contamination. Set up and break down station adhering to Leopardo's standards. Monitoring and informing the chef of any problems with equipment, refrigeration, or tools that the CDP uses every day. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of all ingredients used in the kitchen. Conduct regular tastings to ensure dishes meet our standards of flavor, balance, and execution. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate and execute orders efficiently. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines. Ensure the proper handling and storage of food products to prevent spoilage and contamination. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Commis or Chef de Partie in a fine dining or upscale restaurant. Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus. Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques. Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 2+ Years of Fine Dining or Upscale Restaurant experience Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, kneel, crouch for extended periods of time Lift and carry heavy pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment up to 50 pounds Work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
